EOHSI POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITIONS
Postdoctoral research positions are available immediately at the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI), a joint Institute of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Successful candidates will have a doctorate in a biomedical or physical science and an interest in multidisciplinary research in toxicology, exposure science, environmental epidemiology, environmental and occupational medicine and/or environmental policy.

DIRECTOR, NATIONAL CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT, RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK,
NORTH CAROLINA DIVISION
EPA's Office of Research and Development (ORD) is seeking an internationally recognized scientist to fill the position of Director, National Center for Environmental Assessment (NCEA), RTP, NC Division http://www.epa.gov/ncea/. This position is located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
ORD plans to fill this position using EPA's Title 42 Authority, which offers up to 5-year renewable term appointments at highly competitive, market-based salaries. The position is part of a larger EPA effort to use state-of-the-science approaches and technologies in its mission of protecting human health and the environment. The candidate must have a doctoral level degree in a pertinent science discipline and extensive specialized experience in human health assessment, focused particularly on air pollutants. The individual selected must have an outstanding track record of original study resulting in highly-cited publications in peer-reviewed journals of high stature. - Plans, conducts and publishes independent research related to the assessment of health or ecological effects associated with criteria or hazardous air pollutants. The incumbent has substantial hands-on involvement and participation in the scientific research of the Division.
- Implements measures to meet environmental assessment needs pertaining to air pollutants, and supports the Center's other environmental assessment activities, evaluations and methods development.
- Serves as the EPA focal point for the ORD's function as the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Environmental Pollution control, regulating air pollutants.
- Plans, conducts and publishes independent research related to the assessment of health or ecological effects associated with criteria or hazardous air pollutants.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is up to $200,000 per annum, dependent upon qualifications, experience, and other factors. The selected applicant will be eligible for full benefits including relocation reimbursement, health and life insurance, retirement, and vacation and sick leave.

Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Environmental Genomics

The University of Iowa is seeking applicants with outstanding promise for a faculty position in Environmental Genomics at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. This is a full-time (12 month appointment), tenure-track position in the Department of Internal Medicine. Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D. or the equivalent and postdoctoral experience in environmental genomics, human genetics, or a related area. The individual in this position will be expected to develop his/her own research program in environmental genomics, obtain competitive research funding, and engage in collaborative research with other faculty in the Environmental Health Sciences Research Center and within the College of Medicine and the College of Public Health. Responsibilities will also include teaching, advising graduate students, and serving on doctoral committees. The successful candidate will be expected to serve on committees and professional organizations on a national level, as well as on appropriate departmental, collegiate and university committees. The Search Committee is especially interested in receiving applications from individuals experienced in interdisciplinary collaborative research with interests in assessment of gene-environment interactions, molecular epidemiology and toxicogenomics of lung diseases.
